Bihar Unpacked begins with a simple invitation: look again. Start with a district you recognise, follow an unfamiliar outline, and ask what the evidence actually tells you.
This is an independent project. It is not a government website, a news service or an official statistical publication.
An archive taking shape
This edition contains 38 district factbooks with published 2026 population projections and separate 2011 Census benchmarks. It also brings together dated income and crop figures, products, climate records, six place records and four mapped road journeys.
Coverage is still uneven. The sources do not supply every requested indicator, and some reuse terms need clarification before public release. Missing observations stay missing. Published projections are labelled as estimates and linked to their exact source period.

Every displayed measurement comes from a retrieved dataset and a documented calculation. Geography has its own reference year. Unavailable data stays unavailable.
